Connecting Microsoft 365
One connection gives your assistant your work mailbox and your work calendar. It asks for the right to read and to make drafts, and the right to book events after your tap. It does not ask to send.
Connecting yourself (two minutes)
- Sign in to your page, open Integrations and tap Mail.
- Press Connect Microsoft 365. You get a short code and a link.
- Open the link, sign in with your work account, type the code and approve the rights. Done.
When your organisation has to approve first
Many organisations do not let staff connect apps freely. Then you see something like "Need admin approval". Send this to your IT administrator:
For IT: what Personal Bot needs
- An app registration in your Entra ID (public client, device-code flow), or approval of the app Personal Bot publishes itself once it is verified.
- Delegated permissions, only on the employee's behalf:
Mail.ReadWrite(read and drafts),Calendars.ReadWrite(read the calendar and, after the employee's approval, create events),User.Read,offline_access. - Not requested, not later either:
Mail.Sendor any other sending right. - Tokens are stored encrypted on a server in Germany; the employee revokes the connection themselves and the tokens are then forgotten. See the privacy policy.
After registration IT gives you the tenant id and client id; enter them at graph.tenant_id and graph.client_id under Mail, then follow the three steps above.
Reconnecting
After a password change, or when your organisation revokes access, your assistant says once that Microsoft 365 needs connecting again. Your page then shows a Reconnect button; the same three steps.
Disconnecting
Disconnect on your page forgets the access on our side and deletes what the connection kept. Microsoft itself holds the consent until you or your administrator revoke it there (My account → Apps).
