Terms of service
1. What you get
Personal Bot is a personal assistant in Telegram with its own web page: a memory you control, a daily briefing, and integrations with your calendar, mailbox and other services you switch on. You get your own Telegram bot that only you can use.
2. Your account and your bot
- You create the bot yourself at Telegram (BotFather) and give us its key. We store it encrypted and use it only for your assistant.
- You are responsible for who can reach your Telegram account and your e-mail; whoever can, can reach your assistant.
- One account is for one person. A household member gets their own assistant through the Family plan.
3. Trial, payment, cancellation
- The first 14 days are free. You provide a card at the start; we charge only after the trial ends and you have not canceled.
- After that you pay monthly or yearly in advance, VAT included, through Stripe. Prices are on the site; a price change is announced at least 30 days ahead and applies from your next period.
- You can cancel at any time from your page. The subscription then runs to the end of the paid period; used months are not refunded.
- Right of withdrawal: you ask us to start the service immediately. Because the first 14 days are free, changing your mind costs nothing: cancel within the trial and nothing is charged.
- If a payment fails, chat keeps working but briefings and other unprompted work pause until it goes through. After 7 days without payment we may end the account.
4. What the assistant does and does not do
- Anything that leaves the system (an invite, a message to someone else, a change in a shared service) first becomes a card you approve. Without your tap it does not happen.
- The assistant cannot send mail and cannot make payments. Not even if you ask.
- The assistant works with a language model and can make mistakes: a wrong summary, something forgotten, a date misread. Check what matters. It does not give medical, legal or financial advice.
- Every plan has a model budget that fits daily use comfortably. Above it the assistant switches routine work to a lighter model; never to a higher bill.
5. Use
Use your assistant for yourself and your household or your own work. Not to spy on others, to spread spam or deception, or to do anything the law or the terms of Telegram or a connected service forbid. If you do, we may suspend or end your account; we will say why.
6. Availability
We do our best to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee it. Maintenance is announced where possible. Outages at Telegram, your mail provider or the language model are outside our control; we report them on your page.
7. Liability
Our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the damage. We are not liable for indirect damage such as missed appointments or lost income. This limit does not apply to intent or gross negligence on our side, and takes nothing away from your rights as a consumer.
8. Ending and your data
After cancellation your page stays read-only for 30 days so you can export everything. Then we delete everything that is yours. See the privacy policy for the details.
9. Changes and law
If we change these terms, we mail you at least 30 days ahead; if you disagree, you can cancel free of charge until they take effect. Dutch law applies; disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. Questions: hallo@personalbot.nl.
